Flowers
If you are planning ahead and thinking about winter colour for the winter now is a good time to plant pansy, viola, primula, poppies and dianthus. Planting now while the weather is still nice will get them established before the cooler months. Get your bulbs in now for spring if you haven’t already.
Lawns
Autumn is the ideal time to sow a new lawn.
Fruit
Give your citrus trees a good feed this month as they will be fruiting soon and will need the added boost.
Vegetables
Winter crops of greens – cabbage, broccoli, silverbeet and Chinese cabbage can be planted now. Plant seeds of radish, turnip, peas and broadbeans.
